A programme of 21st century and contemporary solo works culminating in Caimin Gilmore’s BlackGate. We will have a limited number of 10” pre-sale vinyls, available exclusively for audiences at New Music Dublin, ahead of its general release on 1st August on Ten Spot Records (IRL) & New Amsterdam Records (USA).
Written for double bass, cello, harp and Yamaha DX-7 keyboard, BlackGate had its premiere at Kilkenny Arts Festival in August 2024 and now comes to Dublin for the first time. BlackGate is a cross-genre piece that reflects Gilmore’s work as a bassist and arranger across multiple styles, from contemporary music to pop, classical and folk.
