This colourful programme for viola and percussion celebrates the group’s first album released on Ergodos Records. Ian Wilson’s TOTEMIC was co-commissioned by New Music Dublin, and will form part of this dynamic programme, including new works by Benedict Schlepper-Connolly and Kate Moore.
Also on the programme are Missy Mazzolli’s exciting piece ‘Tooth and Nail’, and Francois Sarhan’s solo percussion piece ‘Homework’. Individually, Nathan Sherman and Alex Petcu are esteemed exponents of new music, and together they formed a duo to explore and expand the repertoire for the colourful combination of viola and percussion. Their debut album TOTEMIC will be released on Ergodos Records.
